We had the privilege of being able to spend Christmas in California with Susan's family. It wasn't a planned trip, but because of Susan's mom's diagnosis of cancer (for the 5th time), this time in her bones and lymph nodes, a generous donor offered to fly us home for the holidays. We were so glad to be there with family during this time.
